Used the loop to grab the dock cleat and the top shaft broke in half. Made multiple attempts to contact the manufacturer and zero reply.Nice concept but the pole doesn’t have any strength.
I purchased 2 of these poles about 3 or so years ago. Now they will no longer side in and out.Called to see if I could have them repaired and actually got a hold of who I believe is the owner of the company. I was told that they cannot be fixed because the parts are glued on. They were NOT even willing to refurbish them even if I paid to have it done. Now they are broken from trying to get them apart.I will NOT buy anything from this company again!

"don't use near electrical wires" is great advice if you're not very smart. This sticker was attached to the pole with non-removable adhesive (see picture). So instead of having a functional pole, it's a sticky mess. Does anyone want a 3 language sticker on their pole telling them the obvious every time they use it? I doubt it. If you have to be told every time you shouldn't left alone with any kind of tool, and it's unlikely you can comprehend the meaning of the sticker. Might be a great product, but now it's just a sticky one. :(
Well worth it I ended u buying a second one. Nice construction and works great when trying to real in a sweet honey
Has really helped making docking easier in a very tight slip
The poles are great for docking, especially hooking dock cleats or posts. Pole would be even better if loops could be removable and just leave the hook end as loop gets in way when you don't need it.
Helps to get my boat to dock
Helps to get my boat to dock
Like having another dock hand
If you ever take your boat out alone, you are wise to pay up for this irreplaceable, well made tool.If you usually have at least one other capable person on board, you will be happy to have this on board. As we have only now discovered it, we made do without it; but, if it somehow walked off, we would replace it immediately. Why? Simply because, it makes life easier and safer; especially because we have clocked in a few more decades.
This is great. You can loop a cleat or other object.Wow. Sturdy.
Sure, the Quick-lock mechanism will occasionally slip under stress, but it has caught the dock and kept the boat off the rocks so many times in a squall that I consider it indispensable.
Five stars all the way on this product, the quality of the pole, and the configuration of the different size loops, along with a push off, makes this an excellent product. By far if you’re looking for a substitute, don’t waste your time I spend time looking for it. I spent the extra money bought this, and I have to tell you it works exceedingly well, you don’t have to worry about not being strong enough or not being long enough, or the loop being big enough, we have a 24 foot chaparral, and it worked excellent on a dock with only two cleats, I wish we had a mid cleat, but it’s missing on our dock, and this makes it exceptionally easier to dock the boat, when in fact, we have no pylons to reach. That means we don’t have something high enough while sitting in the boat to reach out and grab the dock with. So we’re always jumping out of the boat onto the Doc, which is a dangerous situation, especially in high winds.. so my ass off to the guy who designed this, yes, obviously he is an engineer. I read his bio if you look further into the company on Amazon, and I respect him for what he did!
Works great may buy another
Works great! Best thing we bought for our boat to help with docking! Love it!!!
Boat loop works great for our needs. Docking our pontoon is not a challenge any longer!!
Makes docking so much easier when it's windy out.
I wish we would of purchased thos a while ago...it works so wonderfully for docking our boat..
This really makes docking easier.
This ring is amazing!!!
We love these! Perfect for docking our pontoon on windy days here in northern Minnesota. They are not too heavy, but extremely sturdy.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The pole with a loop is a great idea. Unfortunately thou it has a design flaw. The loop head can easily fall off and sinks in the water. It doesn’t float! The loop needs a better tighter attachment. Definitely needs to be improved.
Much sturdier than anticipated, using this to help dock our 31ft Rinker. This did the trick! The pole is a nice weight and it has an excellent grip. Happy with the size and durability. The pole slides together for easy storage. Nice product!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Easier for my wife to use on bow of boat. Line toss wasn’t always accurate. Never misses with the loop.
Works really good for docking I don't have to use my arms to wrap around the posts anymore we'll be really good when it's windy. I recommend one if you have a boat also is good for pushing off other boats when getting in and out from docking
If you have tight docks this is a great aid to dock your boat. Great quality.
The concept here is great - a loop instead of a line to help snag a cleat, especially for boat guests who dont have experience. And it does work well . The part that doesnt work is the extension mechanism. It is extremely hard to both extend and retract the pole. It makes sense to store this retracted, then extend when in use, but it is very hard to do both. They need to figure out a different mechanism for this.
Solid and very effective when docking a large boat. Must have!
Must have for new boaters. Fits well in boat. Seems durable but be careful as tube is fiberglass. Nice and light.
